RATIO 4 TO 1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">H.W.Henrich placed the Indirect cost as an average of 4 times the direct cost.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25baThis was the origin of much discussed and controversial 4 to 1 ratio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25baSome studies yielded ratios ranging from 8 to 1 to 1 to 1 but in general they supported Henrich\u2019s findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25baAfter Henrich\u2019s research of 4 to 1 ratio, Frank E Bird (Jr.) accepted the iceberg principle of hidden costs, dividing them into two categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
